President Kalusha Bwalya said he was
happy with the team’s performance against
Ethiopia and that a win for Zambia will
eventually comeagainst Nigeria on Friday
albeit he has labelled the match a classic.
“I thought I saw a good Zambia team. We
had a lot of possession and control of the
match. We had the better chances but we
missed the finer-touch in front of goal,”
Kalusha said.
“A win will come. Ethiopia kept coming at
us, got one chance and levelled the score.
We have accepted the result and should
look forward to next match on Friday
against Nigeria. It will be a classic.”
Nigeria conceded a stoppage time equaliser
against Burkina Faso, a result that left all
four teams in Group C level on one point
each from their opening matches.
